Flores trip

Flores trip is exemplary and can be customised. It will be organized with one of our partners, please, submit a request to Dive Together at least 2 weeks before your travel.

Program:

Day 1:

Labuan Bajo – Ruteng; night in a hotel

A fishermen’s market in Labuan Bajo (here is a great opportunity to buy fruits before the travel – not only fish is available!). Then you will visit a tahu factory (tofu factory), a fascinating place where tofu is produced since centuries according to the same process.

After the visit you will head to the mountains, passing by the monsoon rain forest and admiring unforgettable views of Flores. You can choose to see one of the attractions (unfortunately there is no time to see both, so you need to agree beforehand, which one is more interesting for you):

  • traditional dance caci – it is a fight from the Manggari region – and other regional dances
  • trekking to the waterfalls in the forest, you will be passing through very pictoresque rice fields. On the spot there is a possibility of bathing. As the bus is not able to get there, you will be taken by boat taxis. Time to arrive to the waterfalls is about 40 min, first you get down to the valley, then you need to climb

The following attraction will be Lembor – it is a central point of rice production on Flores. If you are lucky, you can see the details of rice production. Then you will be heading to Lingko – there are traditional Manggari rice fields in the shape of a spider web.

You will finish the day one visiting Manggari village in Ruteng.

Day 2:

Ruteng – Bajawa, night in a hotel

If you are interested to see another market, you can get to the market in Ruteng, that depends of the planification. If not, you will be heading to the crater lake Ranamese, the legend says that this lake is full of ghosts. Would you take a swim?
